This online, interactive tool is for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It compares quality of life-related data reported by PAMF patients over time, based on treatment chosen.
Both men who have received treatment for their prostate cancer and those who are still deciding on a treatment can use this tool. If you have already received treatment, this tool will describe your risks of experiencing certain sexual, urinary, bowel and hormonal symptoms one to five years after treatment. If you have not yet received treatment, this tool can compare the risks of experiencing sexual, urinary, bowel and hormonal symptoms across different treatment options.
In addition, all men can use this tool to compare their general health, decisional conflict, and patient satisfaction to that of fellow PAMF patients.
This tool is provided for your general information and education only, and should NOT be relied upon for personal diagnosis or treatment. All data compiled for this tool comes from a small number of Palo Alto Medical Foundation patient volunteers, and therefore may not be representative of all populations. If you have questions, please contact your health care provider. You can speak to the PI, Nancy Brown @ 650-853-4773 or PCTDMT@pamf.org
